The Brennan Bears move onto Area play against Lake Travis

Texas High School Basketball - The William J. Brennan Bears hosted the James Madison Mavericks over at the Northside Gym last night, with a contest for the Bi-District title.

Brennan's Jacari Sanders with 23 points/4 Assists/4 Defensive Rebounds, Jaden Moore 18 points and an impressive six 3 pointers and Norman Beckford with 12 points as well as 5 defensive rebounds and 3 offensive rebounds. Jordan Mainor, Kyle Castille, Jordan Smith and Shaydon Campell held it down with a combined 17 points for the ending score of 70.

Madison's Azrion Harding with 19, Christian Vasquez 15, and Dante Heaggans as well as Keilon Johnson, and Antoine Perkins putting up a combined offensive 27 for a grand total of 61 wasn't enough to offset the bears. At one point in the 3rd period, the bears lead was by 3 points. That lead however widened back up into the 4th period.

The Brennan Bears will meet up with the Lake Travis Cavaliers next week at Canyon Lake High School on February 22nd @7PM for the Area playoff on the road to state.
